If you were to visit us on Halloween

…you would have been welcomed by:

Halloween-0190

An unfortunate baseball player who is now among the walking dead.

Halloween-0188

A skilled ninja:

Halloween-0201

I must say Halloween felt very safe with him around.

Halloween-0191

Another member of the walking dead:

Halloween-0184

A young girl who is ruler of the zombie world.

We also ran into…

Halloween-0211

 A pirate,

Halloween-0204

or was she a…

Halloween-0131

butterfly?

Halloween-0125

No, I believe she was a…

Halloween-0272

witch.

Halloween-0271

This young girl has many career opportunities.  However, she does have a hard time making decisions.

If you came to visit, you would have been greeted by the head…

Halloween-0262

witch.

Halloween-0260

She’s nice, and dating a cowboy. (who seemed to miss being photographed this year.)

If you came to visit…

you would have been tired at the end of the day.  Because…

Halloween-0162

Personal Hygiene and makeup for this crew started early.  We tried to enhance their excellent features for this special holiday.

Halloween-0169

…and it was a must to take some photos in the best light of the day; early morning.

If you came to visit, you would have wanted a nap, but there was no time for napping. We had to join the goblins for Halloween parties at the local school for creatures and unusual characters.

Halloween-0231

If you came to visit, you would have been given the award for biggest party animal after you went to 3 parties.

Halloween-0224

3…

Halloween-0248

If you came to visit, and got hungry…

you could have joined us at our spooky table for…

pumpkin-shaped pizza.

Or, you could have joined the characters and their friends…

Halloween-0258

Halloween-0265

for door to door candy mooching.

Halloween-0275

Halloween-0279

…and if candy and pizza just were not enough you could have always joined the little monsters and their friends for donuts and hot chocolate in our kitchen.

Halloween-0296

(oh look, the cowboy can be seen in the background.)

If you came to visit, you could have stayed home with the cowboy and passed out over 1,000 pieces of candy.  He is a good conversationalist, and he would have enjoyed your company.

If you didn’t come to visit; our door is always open.

The head witch loves guests of all kinds; even if you are a member of the walking dead.

If you didn’t come to visit, it’s okay…

The head witch took so many pictures you will have missed nothing.

(as is evidence on your computer screen)

The head witch is not certain she wants to be a witch forever, so she’s brushing up on her photography skills.

Halloween-02732

Maybe she will pass along the title of head witch to this little cutie; and take pictures forever.

Because pictures are what she loves.

…but playing a witch on Halloween takes a close second.

My friend Leslie came to visit from Alabama.

This is her baby girl Emma with my kids.  My niece Norah is in the middle.  She stayed with us for 5 days while her parents were away.

My mom, sisters, nieces and nephews came for weekend.  I don’t have one.single.picture of us together.  There I go again forgetting to use my camera again.  I guess we were just having too much fun.

I do however have a picture of the Fazookie that we had for lunch… (what does this say about me; that food is more important then people?)

 photo IMG_4181_zps54b2a774.jpg

…and some pictures of Tess at the jump zone that we took all the kids too.

Tess is intrigued with her scriptures and pretends to read them.  It is soo cute.

I made 90 sugar cookies for our church daddy-daughter date.

Stay tuned; more to come about the little 4 year old soon.

2 Halloweens… and safe and sound.

Yes, I was worried that we wouldn’t even have one, and then we really kind of had two.

They canceled Halloween in our township because of Hurricane Sandy,  and rescheduled for Friday.  I really struggled with that.   I want to celebrate Halloween on Halloween.  It had stopped raining, it was cold; but it was HALLOWEEN!! Luckily our friends township which is just a few streets over didn’t cancel.

We were lucky to go out with them.  We had a great night hanging out with friends.

Because our township rescheduled, that gave our kids the opportunity to pass out candy on Friday in our township. (I wish I would have taken a picture.)

So… we kinda had two Halloweens.

I think the kids liked answering the door and passing out the candy as much as they did trick or treating.

I am so thankful that the storm didn’t end up as bad as they projected for us here in PA.  We are safe and we were lucky not to loose our power.  We pray for those families on the East coast who are still with out power and have lost so much. What a mess that storm made for so many people.

I am thankful hurricane Sandy was just some heavy rain and strong winds for us.  I am thankful it didn’t prevent us from trick or treating.
